ISO New England wholesale power prices jumped on the month in December following higher peakload and stronger natural gas prices, while prices plunged year on year following lower gas prices. ISO peakload averaged 16,669 MW in December, an increase of 8.4% month on month, according to grid operator data. In comparison, the 10-year peakload average was 17,578 MW.
