New Jersey plan would more than double power demand, slash gas use by 2050

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed an executive order Monday andintroduced the state’s Energy Master Plan setting forth how it will achieve100% clean energy by 2050 and reduce state greenhouse gas emissionsby 80% below 2006 levels, officials said. The plan will slash natural gasconsumption 75% by 2050 and more than double power demand.
