Wind developers have hot hand at state and ISO levels as sales on rise

The top 10 US wholesale power sellers in the third quarter of 2019 were responsible for more than half of all wind sales, with a number of longtime wind power suppliers seeing increases in the 20% to 32% range because of the exploding use of wind power in markets around the country. Among the top 10 in wind sales were such veteran wind developers and power producers as NextEra Energy Resources, Avangrid Renewables, EDP and EDF Renewables, and E.ON Climate and Renewables. Also in the top 10 were Invenergy Renewables, Duke Commercial Power and Pattern Energy, as well as Clearway Energy, previously known as NRG Yieldco.
