Western day-ahead power packages were mixed Friday for Monday- Tuesday delivery amid sinking gas prices and mild, shoulder-season temperatures. Palo Verde on-peak day-ahead rose $5.25 to price in the high $40s/ MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange, above the month-to-date average of $42.25. Similarly, SP15 day-ahead jumped near $13.75 to the low $50s/MWh on ICE. Southwestern off-peak packages trended down across the board, mirroring regional gas prices.
