ERCOT spot weakens on falling demand, bal-day falls

Next-day power prices in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas fell slightly Tuesday, as demand was projected to fall on cooler weather ahead, while balance-of-the-day on-peak also fell on weaker demand expected Tuesday. ERCOT North Hub next-day on-peak futures were valued at about $120/MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange, down about $1 from Monday’s settlement.
