Colder weather was pushing up Northeast power demand Monday,driving power prices higher, as near-term packages indicated priceswould continue to rise on falling forecast temperatures.In the NYISO footprint, locational marginal prices were mostlystronger on higher demand and higher spot gas prices.NYISO Zone J NYC on-peak day-ahead LMP jumped about $4.75into the low $40s/MWh for Tuesday delivery, according to the ISO.Zone G HVL on-peak added $2.75 to the upper $30s/MWh as TranscoZone 6 New York spot gas jumped 13.5 cents to around $2.835/MMBtu.Bucking the trend, NYISO Zone A West on-peak shed $3.25 tonearly $28/MWh.
