Next-day power and gas prices in the Pacific Northwest are on the riseas gas flows out of Western Canada and into Sumas are constricted.Ongoing maintenance and declines in production are also at play.Sumas gained 47 cents Tuesday, ascending to a 27-day high of$4.34/MMBtu Tuesday.A similar trend was also seen in the futures market with the Sumasfront-month contract gaining 6.6 cents on the day to Henry Hub plus21.6 cents/MMBtu, while the March contract gained 10 cents to HenryHub minus 25 cents/MMBtu.
