Avangrid touts progress with offshore wind project, Maine transmission line

Avangrid executives praised progress being made with their 800-MW Vineyard Offshore Wind Project in Massachusetts and New England Clean Energy Connect transmission line in Maine during the utility's third-quarter 2018 earnings call. Vineyard Wind, the 50-50 joint venture between Avangrid Renewables and private equity investor Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners K/S, will select its supplier for wind turbines sometime this fall, Avangrid CEO Jim Torgerson said during the Wednesday call.
