PJM, traders diverge on timing eyed for FERC intervention in FTR credit policy reforms

PJM Interconnection and some energy traders are butting heads over the speed in which they would like FERC to address shortcomings identified in the grid operator's credit policy. DC Energy and Vitol, firms that participate in PJM's financial transmission rights market, filed comments with FERC Monday seeking swift action. PJM urged the commission to allow it to wind up stakeholder initiatives on the issue and complete an investigation into the major FTR market default of trader GreenHat Energy that is being conducted by independent third-party experts retained by PJM's board of managers.
