Fenoc backs report on Davis-Besse cracking but plans no new actions

FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co. said this month it is embracing the findings in a controversial report on the crack growth rate at Davis-Besse in the months leading up to the 2002 discovery of severe vessel head degradation at the Ohio PWR. But Fenoc said it does not plan to revise the root-cause report it prepared five years ago.
