Entergy successfully amended the Palisades license lastnmonth to remove all credit for boron carbide, or B4C, inn“region I” of the racks in its spent fuel pool. This was anninterim measure to deal with the neutron absorber, whichnhad degraded more than was recognized in the Palisadesnlicense, in time for the plant to begin a refueling outage thisnmonth.
