Daniel Dorman appointed head staffer of US Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Daniel Dorman has been appointed executive director for operations atthe US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, NRC said in a statement Oct. 5.Dorman will succeed Margaret Doane as EDO, the highest rankingstaff position at the agency, effective Oct. 10, when Doane leaves NRCfor a position with the International Atomic Energy Agency.He was previously deputy executive director for reactor andpreparedness programs, which has responsibility for oversight ofNRC’s four regional offices.
