The Electric Reliability Council of Texas remains at the top for totalrenewable generation output across the US for third quarter 2021 asTexas added the most clean power projects, increasing its installedrenewable capacity by 13% since the end of 2020, making large stridesin solar and battery storage.ERCOT total renewable generation output averaged 275,015 GWh/day,up 16% year on year, followed by Southwest Power Pool with 257,393GWh/day, up nearly 19% year on year which is the largest increase acrossthe US, according to grid operator data. The California IndependentSystem Operator total renewable generation output ranked third at234,404 GWh/day in Q3, down 1.5%.
