REFINERY NEWS: Poland's Grupa Lotos launches hydrogen unit

Notes: Poland’s second largest refiner, Grupa Lotos, said Dec. 8 it has commissioned a hydrogen recovery unit that will produce an additional 70,000 mt of LPG, 43,000 mt of heavy naphtha, 39,000 mt of light naphtha and almost 9,000 mt of hydrogen a year. The HRU, which produces the products from hydrogen that is burned in the plant’s fuel gas network, cost Zloty 180 million ($49 million) and was launched on Dec. 5.
