Southeast, East Texas gas falls as demand decreases heading into weekend

1.1Southeast and East Texas natural gas prices fell on Sept. 18 on bearishness in the market from decreased demand heading into the weekend 1.2The cash price for Houston Ship Channel fell 19.50 cents on the day to $1.72/MMBtu. This was the third consecutive day that this price has fallen. This was also the lowest level this location has reached since the end of July. Similarly, the cash price for Henry Hub fell 7 cents on the day to $1.59/MMBtu. 2.1Texas demand sat at 11.51 Bcf on Sept. 18, according to S&P Global Platts Analytics. Demand is expected to fall to 10.61 Bcf by Sept. 20 and remain below the 11 Bcf/d mark in the beginning of the week starting Sept. 21 as well. 2.2Further east, Southeast demand sat at 21.79 Bcf on Sept. 18 but is expected to fall to 20.63 Bcf by Sept. 19, according to Platts Analytics.
