Encana reports record Q2 oil, condensate production, but sees slower growth ahead

Encana officials on Wednesday reported that the recent acquisition ofNewfield Exploration helped the company achieve record oil andcondensate production in the second quarter of 2019. But the producerexpects its year-over-year production growth rate to moderate in thesecond half of the year as it scales back drilling.The company reported total Q2 production of 591,800 boe/d, up 11%year-over-year on a pro-forma basis. The increase was driven by Q216% year-over-year pro-forma increase in liquids production to about324,000 barrels b/d, while natural gas output increased to 1.61 Bcf/dfrom 1.52 Bcf/d on a pro-forma basis.
