NYMEX May gas bounces back from multi-year lows, climbs ahead of weekend

The NYMEX May natural gas futures contract bounced back from multiyearlows Friday, climbing above the $1.60/MMBtu threshold for thefirst time in three trading sessions.May rose 6.9 cents day on day to $1.621/MMBtu.Down the curve, contracts also strengthened, with June and Julyclimbing 6.6 cents and 7.2 cents, respectively.The uptick in the front-month contract snapped two consecutivesessions where the contract hit 20-year lows.
