PJM West Hub spot rises on higher peakload forecast, above-normal temperatures

Mid-Atlantic daily power prices increased Monday alongside higher cash natural gas markets due to continued above-normal temperature forecasts, while Midcontinent spot prices fell on expectations of lower peakload. In the PJM Interconnection, PJM West Hub on-peak day-ahead increased $1 to trade in the low $30s/MWh for Tuesday delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange, and has averaged in the low $30s/MWh so far this month, down 18% year on year.
