摘要

Implementing real-time co-optimization of energy and ancillary services in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas may require some adjustments to ERCOT’s systemwide offer cap, normally $9,000/MWh, states a Public Utility Commission of Texas filing slated for discussion June 27. Thursday’s memo by Mark Bryant, senior economist at the Public Utility Commission of Texas’s Competitive Markets Division, suggests cutting the systemwide offer cap from $9,000/MWh to $2,000/MWh, which would imply that the Ancillary Services Demand Curve maximum could only reach $7,000/MWh, a Texas regulatory filing states (Project No. 48540).
