Northwestern power dailies strengthened Monday, alongside a falling water supply forecast and declining hydro inflows. Mid-Columbia day-ahead on-peak added $2.25 Monday to trade in the low $10s/MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange for Tuesday delivery. Inflows at the Grand Coulee Dam, which had been climbing since May 12, began to decline Sunday, according to data from the Northwest River Forecast Center. On Monday morning, inflows fell to 163,600 cfs Monday morning, down from 172,400 cfs Sunday. Inflows are forecast to continue falling through Thursday, reaching 148,190 cfs. Trend data, however, projected a rebound in inflows beginning Saturday.
