Southeast gas pricing points trade in narrow range with fundamentals stable

Southeast gas prices were largely static Thursday as market fundamentals remained relatively steady. Houston Ship Channel added 0.50 cent to reach $2.64/MMBtu, but Katy was down 0.50 cent to $2.645/MMBtu. Southern Natural Zone 0 rose 0.50 cent to $2.61/MMBtu but Trunkline East Louisiana slipped to $2.56/MMBtu after a 1-cent fall. Overall demand declined to the tune of 1.218 Bcf Thursday, checking in at 30.351 Bcf, according to S&P Global Platts Analytics. At the same time, supply slipped 373 MMcf to 34.62 Bcf. Looking ahead, demand is expected to level off, falling to 29.678 Bcf/d Friday, but averaging 30.553 Bcf/d over the next seven days and 29.787 Bcf/d the week after.
