Oil futures settled lower Thursday as traders looked to book profits aftersupply concerns receded in the wake of a large US inventory build.ICE July Brent settled down $1.43 at $70.75/b and NYMEX June WTIwas $1.79 lower at $61.81/b."What we are seeing here more than anything is the big build ininventories. After the surge in supply this week, the concerns that anydisruption is going to leave refiners short-supplied is now probablysmall," Price Futures Group senior market analyst Phil Flynn said.On Wednesday, US Energy Information Administration data showedUS crude inventories increased 9.93 million barrels to 470.57 millionbarrels in the week that ended April 26. The build pushed inventories tomore than 2.2% above the five-year average, opening the widestsurplus since the week that ended March 1.
