Method for improved provision of replacement parts. A central computer (303) receives first and second messages from local replacement part storage locations. From the messages the central computer calculates failure rates for replacement parts and in addition determines the effects of component failure. Based on these the computer calculates a set figure for replacement parts for the two or more local storage locations.
