UK-continent interconnector plans multiply

Plans for new electricity transmission links between thenUK and the European continent moved forward innFebruary. Belgium transmission operator Elia and thenUK’s National Grid signed an agreement to investigatenthe potential for a 700 to 1,300 MW electricityninterconnector between Belgium and the UK. The firmsnsay they have not decided where the link will run and arencurrently looking at a number of potential landing sites.
