Even before the world's major powers decide on a new set of sanctions against Iran at the UN Security Council, the Islamic Republic is being shunned by trading partners, who are reducing or cutting their business ties with Tehran. Commercial as much as political factors are at play, while proposed US sanctions on gasoline should be fairly easy to circumvent. Nonetheless, Iran will remain short of investment capital.
