Hydro on the Nile - a new start

Revolution in Egypt has caused a sea-change in its attitude to hydro developments on the Nile. There is currently more hope of a settlement to the Nile Valley dispute than at any time since independence. However, global warming, population growth and continued insecurity in Sudan all suggest that pressure on water resources will increase and the risk of conflict grow. The window of opportunity for an agreement may prove short.
