Underground Coal Gasification

摘要

UCG offers substantial capital cost gains over traditional means of producing energy from coal as well as more flexible use of that energy. Although dependent on the success of carbon sequestration, it lends itself well to the process. UCG also offers a large extension of the recoverable coal resource, but faces both technical and local environmental challenges.
