Shale gale blows worldwide

The "shale gale" that has blown out North America's gas supply and cut its price by more than two-thirds can expand across the globe. That is the message from a new report on shale reserves from the US Energy Information Administration. It is worth noting too that every shale gas reserve estimate to date has been too low. But shale's impact is still most intense in the US; no sector of the energy economy will escape unscathed.
