South Stream construction status uncertain

Russian gas giant Gazprom said in June that a tender for design, construction and launch of the Serbian section of the South Stream pipeline is currently underway, and an agreement on the work would be signed by end-June. Work on the project is being carried out "strictly in accordance with the project schedule," Gazprom said in a statement issued followed a meeting between CEO Alexei Miller and Serbian ambassador to Russia Slavenko Terzic at Gazprom's headquarters in Moscow.
