EVs and Chinese industrial strategy

Foreign car manufacturers are piling into the Chinese market, not to produce traditional vehicles, but to manufacture EVs. They are riding on the back of strong government support for the sector in what is the largest car market in the world. By stimulating domestic demand, China is aiming to become both the world's biggest maker and consumer of Evs. It is an industrial strategy that could re-order globally both trade in oil and the auto sector.
