European majors enjoy realized gas price rally in Q4

Europe's oil and gas majors saw their global realized gas prices in fourth-quarter 2016 rally compared with the previous quarter by as much as 18% on the back of a rise in wholesale prices toward the end of the period, especially in Europe. Four of Europe's top producers - Shell, Total, BP and Statoil - all registered quarter-onquarter rises in global realized gas prices, while Europe's other oil and gas major, Italy's Eni, is only due to report its fourth-quarter results March 1.
