LNG glut buster – Asian gas demand

Japan, South Korea, China and Taiwan accounted foralmost 61% of global LNG demand in 2017, slightly higherthan in 2016, despite the emergence of a number of newLNG buyers in the international market. Such has beendemand over the winter period that the much anticipatedglut of LNG has again failed to materialize, leading some oiland gas companies to predict that, despite the wealth ofplanned new LNG capacity coming on-stream, it never will.
