Triton Knoll reaches financial close

The 860-MW Triton Knoll offshore wind farm off the east coast of England has reached financial close and is slated to start production in 2021, lead developer Innogy said August 31. The wind farm is projected to meet the needs of 800,000 households, which equates to around 3.15 TWh per year. In this would displace 567 million cubic meters/year or 1.5 million cu m/day of gas burn in a 50% efficient gas plant.
