Hydro output rises into September

Spanish hydro power output rose to 430 GWh in the week to September 2, according to data from grid operator Red Electrica de Espana September 4, on the back of lower wind output and exports to France. Hydro output, typically on a downward trend at this time of year, could see support deeper into September if wind output and surplus French nuclear remain scarce commodities, traders said.
