Second onshore wind auction falls short

France awarded support to 118 MW of onshore wind capacity in a second 500 MW tender September 7. The disappointing outcome follows two undersubscribed tenders in Germany, where average prices for onshore wind rose above €60/ MWh after falling below €40/MWh in 2017.
