Cee States Unite Against Ec Climate Policy

A group of seven central European EU member states announced November 5 that they have formed a coalition to oppose passage of the European Commission's proposed climate package because its implementation would harm their economies. The coalition consists of the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia.rn"We have decided to continue our cooperation and jointly defend our solutions which will enable approval of the climate package to improve global climate," Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said November 5 at the end of one-day meeting of the respective prime ministers. "These will be the solutions which will not create dangers for our economies." Tusk said that all seven pledged to cooperate jointly within the EU concerning the climate package, which they feel should be changed.
