Czech net power consumption increased by 4.2% year-on-year to 48.63 TWh in the first ten months of this year, while gross production of electricity rose 5.3% to 70.83 TWh, according to data published late December 14 by the country's energy sector watchdog. The rise in industrial consumption, which grew 6.2% year-on-year to 28.63 TWh up to the end of October pointed to the impact of the country's gradual economic recovery after the recession of the last two years.
