Chugoku to advise on smart grids

Polish distribution company, Energa Operator, signed September 19 an agreement with Chugoku Electric Power Corporation to cooperate in the development of a smart grid to better manage wind power generation.Energa Operator, said experts from Chugoku, Mizuho Corporate Bank, Hitachi and the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry, will prepare a feasibility study to identify potential grid problems arising from increased wind production in northern Poland.
