EPBiH to tender hydro works

Elektroprivreda Bosne i Herzegovine (EPBiH), the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina's largest power producer and supplier, expects to invite bids by mid-2013 for the rehabilitation of an existing hydropower plant and construction of a new 20-MW hydropower station. In a general procurement notice issued January 24, EPBIH said that it would seek services and equipment for the construction of the 20-MW Vranduk plant near Zenica on the River Bosna and rehabilitation of the 9.4-MW Una hydropower plant on the Una River near Bihac, which would entail infrastructure improvements and installation of an additional 6.4-MW turbine, increasing installed capacity to 15.8 MW.
