Macquarie invests in Q-Energy’s 120 MW Spanish CSP portfolio

Macquarie Asset Management has announced a Eur90 million ($108.91million) debt investment in a 120 MW portfolio of concentrated solarpower plants in southern Spain owned by fund manager Q-Energy, theAustralian investment bank said June 14.The portfolio includes the 20 MW Gemasolar tower plant and two50 MW parabolic trough solar parks, Valle 1 and Valle 2.“The portfolio, located in Andalusia, produces enough green energyto power the equivalent of more than 84,000 Spanish households andavoids 126,000 tonnes of carbon emissions every year,” Macquariesaid.
