UK gas plant constraint payments fall 14% in March to $78.57 million

UK gas plant assets earned GBP56.56 million ($78.57 million) inconstraint payments in March this year, down 14% on the month onreduced wind balancing needs, National Grid ESO data showed.The monthly costs remain historically high, up 9% on the year,while Q1 2021 gas constraint costs of GBP157.8 million were up nearly25% on Q1 2020.
