Eni gas sales recover in Q4 2020

Italy’s Eni reported worldwide gas sales volumes increased 9% YoY in Q4 2020 to 18.6 Bcm, recovering from the impact of the pandemic measures on the first three quarters of the year. The company reported a 21% increase year on year to 8.3 Bcm sold in Europe and a 9% increase in rest-of-world sales to 1.7 Bcm, which outweighed a 1% decline in Italian volume to 8.6 Bcm. The stronger fourth quarter helped mitigate full-year volume declines, which nonetheless showed an 11% decline to 65 Bcm, weighed by volume declines in Europe and the rest of the world.
