Rarely do the varied constituencies within the energynindustry agree, but they have come together on one issue:nfinancial reform, more specifically, the potential regulation ofnover-the-counter derivatives.nIn a recent letter sent to US Senate leadership, 10 energynindustry trade groups — ranging from the American GasnAssociation and the American Wind Energy Association to thenEdison Electric Institute and the Electric Power SupplynAssociation — argued that “a clear commercial end-usernexemption is absolutely critical” and urged the Senate to morenclearly define the language in the legislation.
