Further energy efficiency investments could save Texas nbusinesses and households $14 billion on utility bills per nyear by 2030, concludes a report released last week by the nWashington-based non-profit American Council for an nEnergy-Efficient Economy.n “Energy Efficiency Investments as an Economic nProductivity Strategy for Texas” was commissioned by the nTexas Clean Energy Coalition. It is a follow-up to an ACEEE nreport in March 2007 that suggested energy efficiency in ncombination with renewable energy technologies could easilynoffset the growing electricity demand in the state, stabilize nenergy prices and lower customers’ electric bills, among othernbenefits.
