The Pipeline Safety Committee of The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) initiated a program in 2003 to gather information about the conduct of integrity management programs (IMP) by member gas transmission pipeline companies. The goal of the program is to determine the impact that IMP may have on operations. Integrity Management Programs are those required by the Pipeline Safety Improvement Act of 2002 and the U.S. Department of Transportation's Office of Pipeline Safety regulations in 49CFR192, Subpart O, of Dec. 17,2003.
