A new report from Ziff Energy Group finds that northern gas will be essential to the North American energy picture for years to come. "With long term demand for natural gas increasing, and conventional North American supply in decline, northern gas from Alaska and the Canadian Mackenzie Delta will be required to balance markets and supply. There are many hurdles still to be overcome to realize new pipeline infrastructure required to deliver this gas to end-use markets" said Rick DeWolf, Executive Associate. Dave Vetsch, Senior Associate, said "The cost of delivering incremental supply from northern frontier regions is very high and must be compared with the cost of delivering liquefied natural gas (LNG) to North America."
