2008 Offshore Technology Conference Highlights

OTC 2008 - the annual offshore exhibition and conference that features extraordinary new technologies developed to find and produce offshore oil and natural gas - will once again be held in Houston, TX May 5 - 8, at Reliant Center at Reliant Park . More than 70,000 offshore E&P professionals, managers, engineers, operators, scientists, and students are expected to attend the event. The 2008 theme, Waves of Change, reflects the industry's transition as project scopes and parameters are stretched to satisfy ever-increasing demand. Changes in technology as well as in the workforce highlight the need to not only keep pace but anticipate future developments. OTC again offers an outstanding technical program, featuring more than 300 presentations covering the latest and most important topics, technologies, and innovations in exploration and production. In addition to technical presentations, panel discussions will feature decision-maker presentations on topics including how people and entities now evaluate risk/opportunities surrounding the various aspects of the offshore industry. OTC recognizes individuals and companies that have made outstanding achievements to the offshore industry. The accomplishments recognized through the OTC awards program represent breakthroughs, innovation, and technology enhancement by individuals, companies and organizations. In some years, OTC presents also a citation to recognize other notable achievements that benefit the offshore industry.
