FuelCell Energy Offers Opportunity For Natural Gas

FuelCell Energy, Inc. announced an agreement with NRG Energy for the marketing and sale of FuelCell Energy power plants. NRG will offer the plants to its customer base with a financing option in which NRG will own the plant and sell the "ultra-clean" electricity and heat to the end-user. The customer can opt to purchase the power plant, though. The agreement also allows NRG Energy to purchase and own fuel cell power plants and sell the power to the electric grid. FuelCell Energy is expected to install, operate and maintain each power plant owned or sold by NRG.
