Study Shows Safety Improvements of Liquids Pipeline Companies

American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Association of Oil Pipe Lines (AOPL) released a new study showing 99.999% of crude oil and petroleum products delivered through 207,800 miles of liquids pipelines across America reach their destination safely. The 42-page annual report is prepared by an industry-wide strategic planning team of senior pipeline operations managers. The findings are presented in the API-AOPL Annual Liquids Pipeline Safety Performance Report & Strategic Plan.
