High-Speed Digital X-Ray Detectors Promise Faster Pipeline Inspection

The new detectors are offered in two standard sizes, providing the ability to inspect pipelines of various diameters and thickness. The XRD 1621 AN ES (enhanced speed), a 16-inch detector, offers radiation energies from 20 keV to 15 MeV and provides an image size of 2,048 x 2,048 pixels. The XRD 0820 MN ES is an 8-inch detector suitable for radiation energies from 20 keV to 450 keV and provides an image size of 1,024 x 1 ,024 pixels.
